HOW WE HELP
ASSET AND WORKPLACE STRATEGY
FITOUT & ONGOING MAINTENANCE
Australian Pavilion CHINA
A SURPRISE CENTRE WRAPPED IN A RED HEART
Support the winning Australian architects concept, iaction was selected to develop the detailed design and construction drawings for all interiors (except exhibit displays), throughout the three story pavilion building. Further, we were selected under a separate tender for the concept design of the retail store area.
The pavilion facility was designed to be built and demolished within a period of three years under the specifications to handle approx. 1 million visitors during the six month World expo period. This is an impressive volume of visitors through any space, which meant materials and design quality needed to handle the proposed conditions and being mindful there was no maintenance opportunities as the pavilion was in full operation 7 days per week at least 12 hours per day.
OUR MAIN CHALLENGE WAS TO COMBINE QUALITY MATERIALS AND MODERN DESIGN TECHNIQUES…
Outside the deep red coloured cladding walls stood as a reminder of Australia’s majestic Red Heart colour. As visitors entered they were lead through an open ramp and through display areas to a holding location for the show. The structural, acoustic and vibration treatment for the walls and floors was designed to ensure that the surprise of that show was not lost.

BOSCH (B/S/H) CHINA
A Premium Finish
Flipping this worldwide household name was no mean feat. With that came the development of a new store-in-store concept for China along with a roll-out guide for a 1500 site footprint presence across China; combined as a range of settings and sizes.
After two years of internal discussion, the brand manager had a green light to launch Bosch home appliances as a premium offering in the China market, and like other unique situations we encounter locally, the only place in the world where this occurred.
ANZ Bank CHINA
Delivering dynamic offices for over two decades.
The long forged partnership between IACTION and the Bankhas been part of ANZ’s growth platform in the local market. From taking the brand through various re-vamps, and the acquisition of local retail licensing to grow the China HQ to over 6,600 sq.m of office space, iaction has helped ANZ along its China path.
After a number of stops on either side of the Huangpu River, the current HQ for China is in Shanghai’s bustling financial district.

ABILITY TO FLEX
Global Strategy consultants with a new brand selected their Asia Regional HQ, Shanghai as its first site to implement the shift in brand and company direction. With a revamp of the existing building forthcoming it was timely for the Consulting team to combine the upgraded facility design and vacate for a number of months for the Fitout to take place.
The new space needed to demonstrate the new brand and a more open way of working – moving toward greater flexibility in spaces, hotdesking, and exude an agile feeling for the team. Project teams and engagements vary in size and length so the ability to flex was a key consideration for workplace strategy programming whilst balancing the fixed in-house staff. Operable partitions allow various meeting rooms and spaces to be reconfigured based on assignments or personnel peaks in the office using hotdesking and touch down spaces.
THIS IS THE BEST FACILITY IN THE REGION. IT’S A GREAT JOB, YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD.CEO, NUSKIN CHINA
Being ordinary was not an option in this space. The client’s brief was to study the brand guidelines then go beyond.
With a sizable brand guideline – Nuskin wanted to create a new standard of sorts, and reach beyond where their physical presence had extended. By visiting the brand through multiple lenses and drawing inspiration for where Nuskin wanted to position themselves as market leader we created a new face.
Arriving by escalator to this unique centre, the atrium ceiling painted with clouds and sky, exudes the sense of reaching the top, a summit for the associates. Once arriving they are led into a broad space using white as the base colour to typify renewal. The space blends innovative product display areas, coupled with sofa meeting and relaxation areas. The extended counter pick-up, company history and large flexible training center are hallmarks for the space.
