FITOUT & ONGOING MAINTENANCE
Australian Pavilion CHINA
SHOWCASING AUSTRALIA’S BEST TO 7 MILLION VISITORS
Selected as the China-based architect, IACTION developed the detailed design and construction drawings for all interiors of the Australian architect’s concept Pavilion at the World Expo 2010.
The Australian government funded Pavilion received over 7,000,000 visits to the 7,500 m2 building with its displays and entertainment. IACTION was responsible to ensure the quality and functionality of design and local material specifications would sustain the volume of visitors each day for 6 months.
The Architect specified a deep red, weathered, steel cladding for the Pavilion exterior, which stood as a symbol of Australia’s majestic red centre, Uluru. As guests entered the impressive space, a skeletal open ramp structure led them through themed areas up to the theatre.
OUR MAIN CHALLENGE WAS TO COMBINE QUALITY MATERIALS AND MODERN DESIGN TECHNIQUES…

High-tech Innovators Collaborate in Tailored Spaces
Bringing together various offices, groups and functions to a new regional office, we crafted an eclectic modern design with a casual, comfortable feel throughout.
Carefully considered elements bring together a unique environment allowing a mix between true client facing training facilities, technology teams, test-bed labs and supporting functional groups. The large scale graphics and 3D elements combine to offer themes in different spaces.
BOSCH (B/S/H) CHINA
A Premium Finish
Flipping this worldwide household name was no mean feat. With that came the development of a new store-in-store concept for China along with a roll-out guide for a 1500 site footprint presence across China; combined as a range of settings and sizes.
After two years of internal discussion, the brand manager had a green light to launch Bosch home appliances as a premium offering in the China market, and like other unique situations we encounter locally, the only place in the world where this occurred.
ANZ Bank CHINA
Delivering dynamic offices for over two decades.
IACTION has been a key partner for ANZ Bank in creating its China footprint, from its first Headquarters in 1999 at Senmao Building Pudong, to Raffles City, People’s Square, in 2004 to its current 6,600 sqm HQ in Mirae Asset Tower in Pudong. IACTION has delivered on multiple projects in 3 cities in China for this risk averse client.
Workplace branding has evolved in the past 20 years, to target key talent, not only customers. IACTION has represented the changes of ANZ’s brand evolution with contemporary design using a fresh, clean dynamic. As part of ANZ’s important brand differentiation in the China market, some Australian elements of Aboriginal artworks from the bank’s collection were integrated into the design.

ABILITY TO FLEX
Global Strategy consultants with a new brand selected their Asia Regional HQ, Shanghai as its first site to implement the shift in brand and company direction. With a revamp of the existing building forthcoming it was timely for the Consulting team to combine the upgraded facility design and vacate for a number of months for the Fitout to take place.
The new space needed to demonstrate the new brand and a more open way of working – moving toward greater flexibility in spaces, hotdesking, and exude an agile feeling for the team. Project teams and engagements vary in size and length so the ability to flex was a key consideration for workplace strategy programming whilst balancing the fixed in-house staff. Operable partitions allow various meeting rooms and spaces to be reconfigured based on assignments or personnel peaks in the office using hotdesking and touch down spaces.
THIS IS THE BEST FACILITY IN THE REGION. IT’S A GREAT JOB, YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD.CEO, NUSKIN CHINA
Being ordinary was not an option in this space. The client’s brief was to study the brand guidelines then go beyond.
With a sizable brand guideline – Nuskin wanted to create a new standard of sorts, and reach beyond where their physical presence had extended. By visiting the brand through multiple lenses and drawing inspiration for where Nuskin wanted to position themselves as market leader we created a new face.
Arriving by escalator to this unique centre, the atrium ceiling painted with clouds and sky, exudes the sense of reaching the top, a summit for the associates. Once arriving they are led into a broad space using white as the base colour to typify renewal. The space blends innovative product display areas, coupled with sofa meeting and relaxation areas. The extended counter pick-up, company history and large flexible training center are hallmarks for the space.
